Who's it for?SalesGrowthOps

Review by a Growth Engineer

My verdict: the accessible version of Clay for teams who want to start without breaking the bank.

Airscale does the job for growth teams without technical profiles who want to get into scraping/enrichment without Clay's complexity or the astronomical cost that goes with it.

The spreadsheet interface is intuitive, templates accelerate getting started, and the price remains reasonable. It's an excellent entry point before moving up to more technical stacks.

What I like less: for complex workflows or large volumes, you'll hit the limits. The API is less flexible than Clay, and integrations remain basic.

My advice: if you're starting out in scraping/enrichment and want quick results without code, Airscale is a good choice. If you already have a technical profile on the team, look at n8n + Apify instead for more flexibility at lower cost.

Why add it to your stack?

Airscale positions itself as 'Clay for normal humans'. If you want the power of a scraping/enrichment tool without Clay's complexity or the exorbitant cost that goes with it, it's an excellent entry point.

The spreadsheet interface is intuitive, workflow templates accelerate getting started, and French support responds quickly. For a growth team just starting out or with a constrained budget, it's the right compromise.

What you can do with it

How much?

The detailed verdict

Do I really need this?

Airscale isn't indispensable in the strict sense - you can do the same with Clay, n8n + Apify, or even manually for small volumes. But for a growth team without a technical profile that wants to get into scraping/enrichment, it's an excellent springboard.

The tool becomes more valuable when you have recurring workflows (weekly lists, automatic enrichment) that justify the subscription.

Does it play nice with my stack?

Integrations cover the essentials: LinkedIn, Google Maps, main B2B databases for sources, and HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce on the CRM side. Automatic push works well and avoids CSV exports/imports.

On the API side, it's more limited than Clay. For very custom workflows or integrations with exotic tools, you'll quickly reach limits. Make/Zapier can supplement if needed.

Is it easy to pick up?

Getting started is quick: 30 minutes is enough to create your first scraping/enrichment workflow. Templates are a real accelerator, and the interface requires no technical knowledge.

Support is responsive (in French, which is a plus). Documentation is decent without being exhaustive. For advanced use cases, chat support fills the gap well.

Is the UX any good?

Airscale's interface is its strong point. The spreadsheet format is familiar, workflow building is visual and intuitive, and templates allow getting started in a few clicks. It's clearly designed for non-technical users.

The tracking dashboard is clear, errors are well surfaced, and guided onboarding helps get up to speed quickly. Compared to Clay which can be overwhelming, Airscale breathes simplicity.

Is it worth it?

At 49 EUR/month for Starter, Airscale is significantly more accessible than Clay (which starts at $149/month and climbs quickly). The credits/price ratio is fair, and the plans are transparent with no surprises. For an SMB or a growth team just starting out, it's a good entry point.

The downside: on large volumes, cost per lead can climb. At that point, an n8n + Apify stack becomes more cost-effective (but requires more technical skill).

What I like

  • Growth teams without technical profiles looking for an accessible Clay alternative
  • No-code scraping and enrichment with medium budgets
  • Ideal for the French market with local support

What I like less

  • Hyper-complex workflows where Clay or n8n are better suited
  • Very large volumes exceeding 50k contacts per month
  • Need for self-hosting or total control
