My verdict: the rising star of no-code scraping.

Pronto combines simplicity, modern UX, and ease of use. The rising star of scraping. It's a good tool for extracting data without effort. We love the 'turnkey' aspect: it's simple, visual and accessible. Ideal if you want to retrieve data quickly without technical complexity. A rising value to watch.

What I like less: the tool is still young, so some advanced features are in development or absent. For really complex scraping, Octoparse remains more complete. You'll reach the limits quite quickly on non-standard cases.

My advice: test Pronto for your common scraping needs. The UX is so much better than veterans that it's worth it. For really complex cases (sites with authentication, heavy JavaScript), keep Octoparse or Apify as backup.

The detailed verdict

Do I really need this?

Depends on your scraping needs. If it's regular and not too complex, Pronto is an excellent choice. For advanced scraping, you'll need something else.

Does it play nice with my stack?

Export to standard formats. Advanced integrations are still in development. The ecosystem is young, which is both a strength and a limitation.

Is it easy to pick up?

Very easy. The 'turnkey' aspect is the main selling point. You're productive in minutes without training.

Is the UX any good?

This is Pronto's major strong point. The interface is modern, intuitive, really a pleasure to use compared to veterans like Octoparse. That's what justifies paying.

Is it worth it?

29 euros per month for simple and effective scraping is fair. The UX justifies the difference with free alternatives. However, for complex scraping, you'll quickly reach the limits.

What I like

  • Turnkey extraction with a modern UX that's pleasant to use
  • Simplicity that suits both beginners and experts
  • Variety of accessible data without technical complexity

What I like less

  • Still a young tool with some advanced features in development
  • Less customization than Octoparse for really complex scraping
  • Not suitable for sites with authentication or heavy JavaScript
