Review by a Growth Engineer

My verdict: the fastest and most modern web builder for beautiful sites.

Framer lets you create beautiful sites in hours, with an intuitive interface (if you know Figma, you'll love it). Animations are smooth, templates are superb, and you can publish in one click.

Ideal for landing pages, portfolios, or showcase sites. Starting at 5€/month per site, it's unbeatable.

What I like less: less powerful than Webflow for large sites with complex CMS. Integration ecosystem is more limited.

My advice: for 90% of landing pages and showcase sites, Framer is perfect. For more complex sites with advanced CMS, look at Webflow.

Why add it to your stack?

Framer is my go-to for showcase sites and landing pages. The 'design tool that publishes' approach is genius: you design visually, and one click later it's live. Animations are smooth, templates are superb.

For a growth profile, it's perfect: you launch a landing page in hours, iterate quickly, without needing a dev. The speed/quality ratio is unbeatable.

What you can do with it

  • 1Create a design-quality landing page in hours
  • 2Launch an impressive portfolio or personal site
  • 3Prototype a site before custom development
  • 4Build showcase sites for clients or projects
  • 5Test visual concepts with real animations

What it does

  • Figma-style visual editor
  • Smooth animations and interactions
  • Modern and customizable templates
  • Built-in CMS for blogs and content
  • One-click publishing with hosting
  • Automatic responsive design

How much?

Starting at 5€/month

Free plan with Framer subdomain. Mini at 5€/month (1 site). Basic at 15€/month (CMS, analytics). Pro at 25€/month (advanced features).

The detailed verdict

Do I really need this?

Framer isn't indispensable if you have a dev or if you master Webflow. But for creating beautiful sites quickly without technical skills, it's one of the best tools.

In my stack, it's my default choice for landing pages when design matters.

Does it play nice with my stack?

Integrations are decent: analytics, forms, widget embeds. For a showcase site, it's sufficient. For more advanced needs (e-commerce, membership), Webflow will be more suitable.

No native integration with automation tools. You connect via forms and webhooks.

Is it easy to pick up?

Very easy if you have design sensibility. Interface is intuitive, templates make getting started easier. In a few hours, you have a publishable site.

If you're coming from Figma, the transition is natural. If you're not a designer, templates compensate well.

Is the UX any good?

UX is exceptional. If you know Figma, you'll be comfortable immediately. The editor is smooth, animations are easily created, the result is professional.

It's the builder that comes closest to a design tool. You think visually, Framer translates to website.

Is it worth it?

At 5€/month per site, it's unbeatable for the quality obtained. Free plan lets you test, paid plans are accessible. Compared to Webflow (more expensive), Framer offers better value for simple sites.

For 90% of landing pages and showcase sites, Framer is enough and costs less than alternatives.

What I like

  • Perfect for creating quick landing pages and portfolios
  • Ideal for startups who want a beautiful site quickly
  • Excellent for designers coming from Figma who will find their bearings

What I like less

  • Not suited for complex e-commerce sites
  • Webflow is better for large sites with advanced CMS
  • Limited if you want total control over generated code
