My verdict: the deliverability insurance for your campaigns.

ZeroBounce detects everything: invalid emails, spamtraps, catch-all, abusive emails. Essential if you work with purchased or scraped lists. Pricing at $16/1000 can go up fast on large databases, but it's always cheaper than a burned domain. Watch out for credits that expire.

What I like less: pricing that goes up fast on large databases, credits that expire, UseBouncer is sometimes more accurate, no generous free tier.

My advice: systematically verify before any campaign on lists whose source you don't know. The cost is negligible compared to the risk of burning your domain.

Why add it to your stack?

Protecting my deliverability is worth a few dollars. A burned domain costs much more.

The detailed verdict

Do I really need this?

Essential if you work with scraped or purchased lists. However, if your emails come from verified sources like Dropcontact, the interest is limited. Evaluate your need before spending.

Does it play nice with my stack?

Robust API with native integrations to main ESPs and CRMs. It's a strength against UseBouncer. Real-time validation in forms works well. Decent documentation.

Is it easy to pick up?

Upload CSV, wait, download results, nothing complicated. Even a non-tech can manage in 5 minutes. The interface is intuitive and results are clear to interpret.

Is the UX any good?

Clear interface with simple workflow: upload, verify, export. Nothing revolutionary but it does the job efficiently. The results dashboard is well structured with clear categories.

Is it worth it?

$16/1000 is reasonable but it goes up fast on large databases. Cheaper than a burned domain, that's for sure. Watch out for credits that expire, it can be a trap if you don't use everything quickly.

What I like

  • Clean purchased or scraped lists before launching your campaigns
  • Protect your deliverability and avoid burning your email domain
  • Large databases with detailed quality scoring for each email

What I like less

  • Small lists where credits go fast and cost per email becomes high
  • Ultra-tight budgets as pricing goes up fast on large databases
  • If your emails come from Dropcontact which already verifies validity
